Rebecca McClive

Rebecca McClive is an artist living in the Fort Collins, CO area having moved here from western Maryland in December of 2003. Being largely self- taught, Rebecca was greatly influenced by her father, an artist living back in Maryland, and her older sister. She remembers fondly the beginning of her art instruction sitting at the dining room table learning how to draw horses around the age of 8. Her father’s studio was and still is in the living room, so she grew up with paints and brushes always out and a painting in the works.

Rebecca’s medium is primarily oils, but has worked in acrylics, watercolor and pastel. Her art springs from a lifelong fascination with landscapes and the animals that live in it. This fascination has greatly influenced her personal, academic and most importantly her artwork.

Her education starts with a degree in Wildlife management and her paintings are primarily wildlife and landscapes. She has studied with premier wildlife artists such as John Banovich, John Seerey-Lester, Terry Isaac, Susan Labouri and Greg Beecham.

Since her move to Colorado she has become a professional artist and currently shows at various Colorado Art Fairs.
